A new round of The Arcade is just days away!

Genesis Lab have released a new bento mesh head called 'Ariana' as part of their 'Sweet Sensations' gacha collection, along with the beautiful 'Ariana' skin. The head and the skin fatpack (10 skin tones) are the 2 rare items, with a variety of makeups (GL & Omega compatible), scarves, sweet-stuffs and drinks as common items. 

Phedora's 'Gothic Vibes' gacha collection includes a selection of boots and harnesses. The 'Wingy Harness' shown is the rare of the set with 5 different colour options.

We're into the last couple of days of the June round of The Arcade!

It's been an awesome round with some fabulous designs from many of Second Life's best clothing, decor, hair and mesh head creators. 

Genesis Lab's 'Up in Smoke' gacha offers female and male bento mesh heads as the rare items to play for, plus a rare animated vape, with commons including skin appliers, eye makeup, cigarettes and cigars. 

M.Birdie have some cute clothing and accessories in their 'Marcia Look' collection. There are 2 rare outfits - each include top (with posed hands/skin colour HUD) and debim pants/skirt - and a rare hair with hat and colour HUD. Common items include tops, shoes, glasses, bags, jewellery and jeans. 

Lamb has 3 hairstyles to play for in their gacha machine, including this cute updo 'Asleep'.

In my last post I promised more info on the brand spanking new poses by Roquai and their awesome collaboration with *NAMINOKE* available at the 2016 Fantasy Faire. 

I planned to do this post at the weekend but... well... I have new kitten in RL who is proving to be very demanding on attention and I can't resist her so finally here it is lol.

Roquai's Pamakhala Girl (300L$) and Pamakhala Boy (250L$) pose sets can be purchased in separate packs. The 'girl' pack contains 6 poses and the 'boy' pack contains 5 poses. What's really cool about all these poses is they are designed to work great individually or they fit together as couple poses easily! You can snag the fatpack with all the couple poseballs for 500L$. These poses are all very artistic and the sets contain a mix of kneels and stands, which are full of emotion and motion. 

The sakura petal 'dresses' by *NAMINOKE* come in both girl and boy versions in a variety of petal colours. They consist of several different petal attachments and these absolutely beautiful wings. 

A single outfit is 480L$ and an outfit with HUD is 600L$. 

Even better, you can get the Fatpack with it all for 1500L$!

The poses and dresses are designed to work really well together and allow for some great photo fun!

The fabulous shoes (perhaps fabulously lethal too! lol) are by Azoury and you'll be able to snag them at SaNaRae in 4 different colours. They are designed for the new SLink Pointe feet only!!

The mesh head is new by GenesisLab and I'm really loving 'Giorgia', which can be found at the current round of Shiny Shabby. She's both elegant and beautifully imperfect in her looks. There are 6 different skin colour to choose from and you can find the matching skin appliers free in the mainstore. 

The petal circlet and pauldrons are by Zibska  at WLRP, which is nearing the end of this round, so be sure to stop by soon to get the items at the discounted price! I thought the petal accessories matched perfectly with the outfit. The 'Roos' set includes colour HUD too so that you can adjust to your styling needs.

I decided I was in the mood for a modern faery style today and some of the latest event releases provided the perfect items!

This sexy and stylish suit is by Dead Dollz and is available exclusively for Maitreya Lara mesh body, in 4 colours at the current round of The Fantasy Collective.

The mushroom clusters by 22769 ~ [bauwerk] can also be found at this event. They provide great fantasy decor as well as nice seating areas, as they include a bunch of animated pose sits (I'm using a pose from Del May though!).

[Entwined] is baaack! And has released 3 - yes 3 - brand new hairstyles at Shiny Shabby. The style in this pic is called 'Chic' and I thought was effortlessly elegant for our chic faery!

Storybook has released the 'Stardust' gacha collection for January's round of The Epiphany. This colourful collection of sexy low-cut rompers and matching heel-less boots come in fitted mesh sizes designed to fit Maitreya Lara or SLink Physique. There are 8 colours of romper suit and matching boots, making 16 commons to collect. There are also 3 rare headphones of different styles that come in colours complimentary to the various commons. 
Remember, with duplicate or unwanted prizes from The Epiphany, you can rez the box and choose to trade it in for points or keep the prize. Once traded for points, you can purchase exclusive Epiphany items when you have collected enough! Make sure you don't rez a prize until you know whether you wanted to keep or swap for points. Collabor88 this round has been all psychedelic and colours. Jian has created this dreamlike and futuristic decor for the event. The trees have different colour options and you can control the 'flicker' of the holograph. Happy new year everyone!
Hope you all have had awesome holidays and stuff. Back to business and more time in SL again, I went exploring the new 'Roots' sim by Cica Ghost. It's an enchanting sim and well worth visiting! I took a few raw shots from around the sim whilst I was there too, which I've included below =)

The outfit is by Storybook at the current round of Shiny Shabby. It consists of a cosy, comfy cropped sweater and a full length rustic-looking skirt with attached tie-string belt. There are various colours available, but staying true to form I went for 'Blackberry'. The outfit comes with fits for Maitreya Lara and SLink Physique.

Pose Lovers will be loving the Pose Lover event, which opened today. Grafica is taking part with two new sets of 5 poses, each with mirrors.

Santa's Watching

hey peeps! Astralia has a new gacha coming to Kustom 9 on the 15th December full of funny and festive headpieces! I'm wearing 2 together... 'cos that's how I roll..

Anyway the antlers are the rare and come with a HUD to change the colours of the stars, ribbons, bells etc. Lots of different options. There are also lots of different commons to collect including this cute santa puppet headband!

GenesisLab has a very cute new head called Nicole at December's Collabor88. They've also released some festive looking makeup appliers too! The 'Glided Eyes' includes 2 versions - with eyebrow and without - in both gold and silver. There are also some glitter lips appliers available for even more striking look. These makeup appliers are for GenesisLab heads only.

A Good Left Hook

Enchantment opened today! Are you ready for a journey to Neverland?

No map needed, just take the TP to experience this wonderful shopping adventure starting at skull rock and moving through the other scenes!

CerberusXing has come up with a very cool take on the Captain's hook. 'Dual's Aftermath' includes a hook hand and a sword hand in either onyx or corroded metal for a very industrial or post-apoc looking pirate!

There is also a hunt including a whole bunch of the stores participating in Enchantment this round. You can grab the HUD from the main event location. Zibska is offering the 'Stelline' collection for their gift, which includes the stars necklace, brows and orbit.

Zibska is also taking part in the upcoming round of The Secret Affair, which opens 12 noon tomorrow. The theme for November's round is 'It's all about the detail' so expect to see lots of intricate and interesting pieces! The 'Ailell' collar satisfies your more delicate side with soft textured petals and flower buds in beautifully detailed patterns but there are lots of thorns too for the part of you that likes to be more on the edge ;) Colour HUD is included to get the right look for you!

BTW have you checked out We Love RP this month? These amazingly cute elf ears are by BentBox and they're animated! They have a bunch of different cycles and can be worn high or low etc. They include a HUD with preset skin textures and are tintable, but there are also options for appliers (c'mon skin designers grab the kits!!) A few appliers are out there already and hopefully lots more will do them! The ears have tattoo options (also tintable) and various piercing options with different metal colours. The different piercings can be clicked individually on the HUD so you can just wear the ones you like.

The Fantasy Gacha Carnival is in town! The November round has brought lots of pretties from our fave Second Life fantasy & RP creators in the theme of "Silver, Gold - Angels and the Dark Side of the Moon".

May's Soul has released the 'Drakonian Angel' collection comprising of 8 commons and 2 rares. There are 2 styles of corset - vintage (shown below) and black - with matching accessories in black or silver, as well as this stunning set of wings! The texture work on this vintage corset is really beautiful and I love the red corset lacing detail at the back!

Dead Dollz is also taking part in this event with the new 'Rococo' collection. 4 different styles of commons - panties, garters, sleeves and shrugs (not shown) - each in black, white and pink. There is one rare item which is a corset with colour hud (not shown in pic). These items are fitted mesh for Maitreya Lara mesh body.

The Plastik has gone all out for this round of Enchantment and you can literally kit yourself out from head to fins with their pretties. One of which is this stunningly detailed 'Ursula' headpiece. There are 3 different versions, I'm showing the full, and each is so so customisable by the included HUDs. You can literally change the colours of all the parts individually making what must be hundreds of different combinations for wearing this. The pack includes both materials and non-materials versions. 
My top and tail are also by the Plastik and there are a ton of different colour options for this. The packs include standard and 'wet' options. And guess what guys? Yes there is merman versions too so you don't get left out :P

Ursula seems to have inspired a few of our fave SL designers at this event, as it's also the name for the pretty head jewellery by Charm and the theme for these fab tentacle bangles by Dead Dollz!

The Conquest is still going strong and is the place to be to find Game of Thrones inspired creations this month! This fabulous headpiece is new by Zibska and I fell in love with it, as I often do will all things skull and skelly. As with most Zibska accessories, there is a colour HUD included and 3 sections can be changed independently of each other. The necklace is also by Zibska and can be found at the same event. 

Today's ensemble is by Salt&Pepper and you'll find this in a selection of colours or as a fatpack HUD version at We Love Roleplay, which is in its final days. Hurry to get any of the items at the event whilst they are discounted for it!

My version of the valyrian steel sword I'm using to fight off the rather ferocious dead is actually by Empyrean Forge, whom I believe are responsible for some of the prettiest weapons in Second Life. There is plenty of detail and gold or silver colour versions are available. It's mod, so if you want to add your own scripts for RP you can do.

So I admit I'm having a little bit of a love-hate relationship with second life mesh heads. If you read my previous post on mesh heads and identity, you may know what I'm talking about. But the simple version is I have a strong dislike of the lack of identity that results from using a mesh head and I do miss my own shape when I use one. That said - they are also REALLY growing on me. The immense amount of detail in them and the smoothness of the face shape make them a photographers dream (no unsightly shadows or pointy edges to edit!!)

I have been using the couple of mesh heads I own a fair bit, for both pictures and hanging out inworld, so I've started getting used to them a lot more. Also, with so many new designs becoming available, it reduces one of the dislikes I have about them (seeing the same face over and over!)

So that being said, I now admit that I was quite excited when I saw the preview pics of the newest mesh head by Genesis Lab. Please meet 'Chloe 2.0'.

Actually, I liked the look of Chloe so much from the previews (plus after already purchasing 'Lilith 2.0' by Genesis Lab I was well aware of the quality), that I went ahead and bought this one without even trying the Demo. I know, it sounds a little risky at 2500L, but I assure you that I'm not disappointed! 

She comes with 4 different skin tones (the lightest is shown) and with several different brow colour options. The HUD also includes options for eye makeup, lip gloss colour and skin features such as freckles. This face has some of the juiciest looking lips I think I've seen so far and I love them! The whole head I find really pretty, whatever angle its viewed from. 

Skin appliers are included for Maitreya body, as well as SLink hands/feet and Lolas. 

Also, there are more and more appliers becoming available for Genesis heads now which is also pretty cool.

[Entwined] hair has lots of new styles out at the moment. One of which is 'Olivia' and can be found at the current round of Shiny Shabby. This long and sexy style is parted at the side and sweeps across the front of one shoulder. There are lots of different colour packs available.

The top pic was taken at The Station, part of the welcome area of SL12B. I had some crazy idea to do my photoshoot there after seeing fabulous pics of the sim by Mr Wainwright. However, my laptop disagreed somewhat and with so many people exploring the sims right now I realised things weren't really working out. So I headed back home to Nymphai to take a pic of this stunning gown. Pose in the lower pic is by oOo Studio.

An Elven Tale

It's the last days of the second anniversary round of We Love Roleplay!

Enfant Terrible has created one of the most beautiful fantasy outfits I've seen in SL, perfect for elven characters like I was going for today. There are 2 colour versions available - dark and gold. There is also a matching staff which is entirely a work of art on its own. The staff includes 2 versions, with the scripted one coming to life with firefly lighting.
Enfant Terrible is offering a gift of this beautiful dragonfly hairpiece for this very special round of WLRP, which I've also used a prop pieces for my pic. 

Tableau Vivant has 2 brand new hairstyles for the May round of the event, both inspired by Game of Thrones character Cersei Lannister. These are available in the standard colour packs.
