A new round of The Secret Affair has begun and from the depths some startlingly dark and beautiful creations are rising! 

The official theme this round is "from the depths we shall rise" and some of the best creators in Second Life have been hard at work on their latest releases. 

FDD Stories bring you the 'Deidre' gacha, which includes 8 full length skirts (each a different colour) as commons, top as rare, fur collar as rare and corset ultra rare. The textures on the skirt are really beautiful and you can see ho much work went into these - they are fabulous for commons! The rares and ultra all have texture change HUD included to match the skirts. All of the items are fitted mesh.

The Plastik introduces the 'Gloria' Halo, which comes in a huge number of different colour variations! There are 6 different styles for each and I'm wearing the 'Raziel' design, which includes lots of very cool looking floating studs. Each style is also modifiable so you can adjust to make it perfect for the look you want.

If you are in love with gothic and dark scenery and sets, the Fantasy Gacha Carnival is definitely a place you'll be wanting to shop this month. Both Ravenghost and 22769 ~ [bauwerk] have some amazing pieces on offer in their gacha machines and once again I'm marvelling at how awesome the commons are! Ravenghost has done a really outstanding job on his rares and I'm in love with this gothic ruin. There is so much detail included.

So this post has been inspired by a bunch of 'rustic' looking releases lately. Dead Dollz has released Viva la Frida, which itself was inspired by the iconic mexican painter Frida Kahlo, for FashionArt by iNOVARE Magazine. This outfit comprises of a cute and colour mini-dress and a white lace blouse. They come separately and as a blended version.

The hair is a new release by Truth, one of 2 new styles which can be found in the mainstore. 'Bexley' is a casual and carefree midlength style and the pack contains both rigged and nonrigged versions.

Shiny Shabby event is still happening and that is where you can find these fabulous platform heels by Azoury. There are 4 colours available and you'll find 2 packs for each - one made to fit Maitreya and TMP feet and the other for SLink and Belleza. Be sure to resize your feet to the correct size when using the fitted mesh feet (in my case, 30 using Maitreya) as the shoes are rigged.

I couldn't resist hitting the club for my DJ set in this outfit tonight and this was a comment I got >> Its like...the lead of Angelspit became an elf, then went on a cyber adventure.

It wasn't the inspiration but I totally agree and loving the comment!! lol

Check out the mesh android legs by Star Quality, which I think are altogether quite fabulous. There are 3 different foots options - ballet heel (shown), tiptoe heels and wedge heels. There is also a matching android arm set available (not shown).

Sakide has a new dress, available in both black and white, which includes HUD-driven loops. There are two loops you can colour-change (I have one colour and one black in the pics shown). 

Chaos, Panic and Disorder has brought some great accessories to the event, including this implant from the 'Nemesis' set. Colour HUD also included with this so you can be sure to get it matched to your cyber look!

I 'borrowed' the plug in tails by CerberusXing to power dolly up for the top pic. They are non-rigged so can be positioned as desired and come with 5 different static variations, as well as the scripted one!

hey ladies!

So I'm uber-late doing an 'Uber' blog post for this fabulous macabre round... but for anyone who hasn't been around the grid for the last few weeks here is a look at what's on offer and also serves as a reminder for those who haven't got to the event yet!! Only a few more days left. 

Ok first things first... I swear I was ready to propose to the creator of =Zenith= after seeing these dresses. Not only because they are so darn pretty, but also because as well as standard sizes they come in a special size for cocodoll. I was so ridiculously happy! XD 

The dress comes in 6 different colours and each pack includes 2 versions, one with a pose so your hands don't sink into the ballerina-style lace skirt. 

Most of today's props can also be found at Uber and I adore these little 'treasures' by [ kunst ]. The book opens at the click of your mouse, the toy piano plays and the clock time can be set to your will!

Steaming Ahead to A Clockwork Spiral

A Clockwork Spiral has opened its doors for all you steampunk, dieselpunk and Victoriana lovers out there! This event is held by the Cursed team and features some of the most awesome designers on the grid with lots of familiar names. It's also for a very good cause, supporting the National Kidney Foundation. All stores have at least one vendor which will have proceeds goings to this very good cause. You guys gotta check out this sim too... great build and set up by Lokii Violet!

Dolly's outfit today is by Greymoon and I loved the textures featured in this. I've matched it up with the Vintage Boots by Pure Poison at this month's round of FaMESHed (been waiting for the perfect opportunity to try these out!) - classically elegant and nice for vintage steampunk looks, but also awesome for various autumn/fall outfits!

The monocle by Souzou Eien can be found in their gacha at ACS and every single item in this gacha is fab (well I think so anyway!)

The pipe is by Azoury and the pack contains 2 versions, the one I'm using but also a version with animated bubbles.

Hello peeps!
Dolly decided to be pretty in pastels today with this uber-cute new dress by DRBC and new hair - with new colour pack - by Truth!
Truth has released the pastels and you can find this colour pack free at the main store for new style "Jinx".
And after getting all pretty, what was Dolly to do next? She decided to put her new-found origami skills to the test by releasing these lovely paper birds by Infiniti into the wilderness of the Black Kite sim.

This necklace by Zibska is actually a men's item but can easily be sized down using the resizer in the HUD. The HUD allows several colour options for both the chain and the accent.

The Dark Sounds - Pixicat at Rhapsody

As soon as I saw this dress I was in love with it - It's beyond fabulous - And it's by Pixicat at Rhapsody.
TheDark.Dress has a colour HUD that can let you change between various textures and colours - You really will have a hard time choosing which! This one happens to be my fave though, gotta love the creepy little twist to it. I also adore the striking glossy texture that it can also be worn in.

Medusa

hello ladies! A post of gacha goodies today!
Do you enjoy fantasy tales and myths? Then a trip to the Tales of Fantasy "Gods & Goddesses" gacha round is a must! The event runs through to 30th June.

The story of Medusa is always one that stuck in my head.. a beautiful woman punished by Athena for unwittingly attracting the attentions of the sea god Poseidon, who chose to seduce Medusa in Athena's temple and sparked Athena's fury as a consequence. The revenge that Athena took was to cause any man who fell under the gaze of Medusa to turn to stone.
The stories of the snakes in Medusa's hair vary a bit...some saying that part of the punishment inflicted by Athena was for Medusa's beautiful locks to be turned to snakes, whilst others say she was born with snakes instead of hair as one of the Gorgons.
Anyway, I always felt that Medusa was a little hard done by!

The Medusa headdress I'm wearing is by May's Soul and this is just one of 6 beautiful colours available in the gacha. The rare item is the shield embossed with the matching snake and this comes complete with HUD to ensure if will match whichever colour headdress you choose! The snake and jewels are also colour-changeable.
