Wanna Play Hnefatafl?

All this Viking stuff around from the latest round of The Secret Affair, you gotta be thinking it can't all be swords, axes, snow and war. But... what did Vikings do to amuse themselves on those cold winter nights?!
Apparently... they played Hnefatafl.

This Viking board game has been recreated by Roawenwood, along with some rather comfy fur rugs in an assortment of colours. The texturing on these is really nice, I was practically wanted to bury my toes into the fur!
The lamps I'm using are by Pure Poison and they can also be found at The Secret Affair, as well as my 'outfit' for today. That's by ieQED and is available in different metal colours. 

And once you're done at The Secret Affair, head on over to the new round of Shiny Shabby which opened yesterday. The skin applier I'm wearing is by Glam Affair and is in their gacha to play for at 100L per play. As I may have mentioned once or twice before... I do love the Exotic skin tone! There are 15 appliers to play for in a range of tones (including two different Exotic appliers!). You can catch me wearing one of the rares and see the full gacha key in my previous post.
The beautiful ink I'm wearing today is new by White Widow and can also be found at Shiny Shabby. It's based on the patterns and designs of it's namesake - dreamcatchers - and is quite unique looking! There is also a gorgeous dreamcatcher design going down the back too which sadly can't be seen in this pic. Just take my word for it, it really is quite lovely!
The tattoo includes a whole bunch of appliers including Maitreya, Belleza, Omega, SLink & TMP, as well as standard tattoo layers. Each applier include 3 different tone/shade levels.

Say hello to Rachel, the gorgeous new skin applier by Glam Affair for Lelutka Undivided mesh heads. You can find her in the gacha at the new round of Shiny Shabby. We're nearing the end of March and that means the current round of The Arcade will soon be closing it's doors. If you haven't checked it out yet, now you'll be sure to be able to do so lag free.

I loved the items by {anc} as soon as I saw the preview pics I couldn't wait to add these beautiful pieces to my garden. The book piles come with animations for sits and stands.

Ispachi created some adorable little friends for this round and they are just soooo cute!! Perfect to keep dolly company ;)

Carrying such heavy baskets of apples to grandma's house, dolly had no idea of the perils of taking a little break on her way...

Hello peeps, a new round of We Love Roleplay is about to start and [Noctis] has brought two new items for us. Firstly we have the apple baskets. There are 4 different versions of the basket resting on the stump (version with grass patch shown) and there is a holding version of the basket included. These wll be discounted by 30% during the March round of we<3rp and you can buy them for just 55L each.

The second item from [Noctis] is the beautiful headpiece dolly is wearing, which comes in 6 different versions. These are just 95L each during the event.

omgosh where to start today?

Gorgeous new hair by Truth - 2 new styles out in the mainstore and 'Avena' is one of them. Long, sexy and messed up - It's absolutely stunning!
Kustom 9 started a few days ago and with it Glam Affair introduced the beautiful new 'Alice' skin. I'm not usually a lover of freckles but love the very minimal amount on this skin! There are several makeup options available and 3 skin tones to choose from at this event. However, you can hop over to Shiny Shabby as of tomorrow to find a different makeup range and a couple more tones so there is bound to be something that suits you if you are a lover of Glam Affair skins (or maybe even if it's your first time trying?)
Further to this, there are some new lip appliers for 'Alice' at Shiny Shabby. These are for the new mesh 'Sweet Lips' by [PXL]. These are the first mesh lips I've bought and I liked them straight away - I think they've got a super sexy look about them and don't think they look too cute and babyish like some other mesh mouths do. The fact Glam Affair made the appliers already was bonus for me too! The teeth and piercings are included with a HUD to hide options as you like.
In addition to the main pic I've done (which is edited, yes) I've added pics below which are totally raw. I've used shadows and yes, this does have an effect on the way the mouth blends in with skin (we all know shadows can make meshy things unpretty!) So I've included the extra pics to show you how the mouth looks with a non-shadowed windlight. The top one is with graphics up high (advanced lighting on) and the lower pic is with much lower graphic settings (basic shaders and astmospheric off) so you can get a good idea how you would look with 'normal' looking windlights regardless of your computer capabilities.

~Libertine~ recently released a new couch or should I say "divan" which seats up to 12 people. 'Justine' has both mature and adult versions, with accessories such as hanging chains, table, candleholders and floor chandeliers. Read more about the details of this beautiful set here.

hey peeps! Some more goodies from The Secret Affair to show you courtesy of May's Soul and .::Pure Poison::. today. The fur vest by May's Soul comes in 10 different colours, which can be purchased individually or part of the two fatpacks on offer - furs and pastels. The fatpacks basically give you 5 colours for the price of 4. All come with a HUD to change the colour of the belt and this top could be used for various fantasy looks, as well as even mixed with more urban stylings.

The skin I'm wearing today is by [PXL] and this special 'winter' tone version of 'Mia' can be found at the January round of We Love Roleplay. It's super pretty and comes with 4 different make up options, various eyebrow options and even optional lip colours too!

Today I'm also using the SLink Physique body. Now I said I wouldn't be getting this, as I absolutely adore my Belleza Venus and as a personal choice was never as fond of the SLink Physique shape anyway. I stand by what I said previously, I still prefer Bellza. 

So what changed my mind on buying the SLink you ask? Well a few things really. One thing is availability of appliers and clothing designs made for SLink, another is alpha layer options. By having both I've found I can use a mesh body with mesh clothing far more, as the alpha layer huds are a little different on each and this gives more options - what will work with one might not work with the other. Hopefully that makes sense. Also, this pretty skin tone had SLink appliers and I so much prefer to show it off with the mesh body ;)

Plus... at 1250L, the SLink body wasn't breaking the bank.

I may do more of a comparison at another time, but many have been done already so we'll see.

hey peeps!!

Lots going on at the moment. I'm sure you all know a new round of The Arcade is about to begin and Pure Poison has this supercute chess set to play for!

It's Foxes Vs Penguins, with the 2 queens and the fox rook being the rare items, whilst the chess board and all other pieces are commons. Items include resize script so you can change the size to suit what you need. They are 1LI at standard size but do remember making things bigger can effect this!

It's an anniversary round of Suicide Dollz kicking off today and a lot of the designers have gone all out for it! DRBC has this funky jumpsuit available, which includes a texture-change HUD with 8 awesome textures (3 of which are shown below). A new round of The Secret Affair bring lots of goodies to shop for this weekend, with the theme being 'Harvest Moon'.

.::Pure Poison::. has this wonderful new dress available in 2 colours - brown and black - which can be easily accessorized to meet you fantasy, RP or even club style! Also new from .::Pure Poison::. for this event, 'Viking Horns'. A little different that many horns, which are attached to a leather band/strap across the front of the head. Personally, I love them.

Speaking of things I love, 'Wicca' is one of the new hairs by Tableau Vivant available at Collabor88 this month. I've never been mad about ombres but I can't seem to get enough of this particular one since they overhauled their colour packs! Also a fab style in many other colours too ;)

I've got back into my Belleza mesh body today and wearing it with this fab metallic mesh bodysuit I picked up at Drift for Fifty Linden Friday last week. hello ladies! New month... new Uber and the theme this time is 50 shades of sexy. But as I was getting all sexied up... I was finding it a little hard to say goodbye to the steampunk with the end of A Clockwork Spiral and there was some stuff I still wanted to work with (I think it will be available in store now or soon, I'm not being that much of a tease!)
I love this corset by =Zenith= cos its all sexy and classy at the same time. There are a few colours to choose from and the detail is amazing. Pick it up at Uber, along with this beautiful new skin by Essences.

Truth has more new hair goodness out, cos who knows we can never have enough hair... I mean that literally, there's no such thing as too much! This long style has pretty bands and braids at the back.

I sooo adore these new candle lights by 8f8. You'll find them at the Candy Fair which opens 3rd Oct. There are 4 colours to choose from or you can opt for the fatpack (totally worth it imo!). In each colour there are 2 versions - hanging and table version.
I'm also loving the masks by !deviousMind from last month's Secret Affair. I'm wearing one of the rares here but they are all so gorgeous, you really can't lose with this gacha. Plus, the feathers are colour-changeable on them all via the drop down menu.

That Other Girl

So it's been quite a few days since I posted, but rl work has been kinda exhausting lately. This means I have sooooo many things I want to take pics of right now that the list is getting kinda unreal. But here's a start...

The hair I'm wearing is by Truth, one of several new releases that have happened lately! Rigged mesh in the usual colour packs, with the additional 'love jugs' sizes. For me, this hair screams cool, relaxed, urban.

We're down to the last few days of September's 'We Love Role-Play', where you can find this collar by Noodles. It's available in different metal options and comes with rigged and unrigged versions. Great for role-players, just as good for other fashion styles too ;)

The sexy chained top is by Zibska and includes a colour HUD to change between 10 different textures, making this super-easy to mix and match and a staple for a lot of inventories!

Steaming Ahead to A Clockwork Spiral

A Clockwork Spiral has opened its doors for all you steampunk, dieselpunk and Victoriana lovers out there! This event is held by the Cursed team and features some of the most awesome designers on the grid with lots of familiar names. It's also for a very good cause, supporting the National Kidney Foundation. All stores have at least one vendor which will have proceeds goings to this very good cause. You guys gotta check out this sim too... great build and set up by Lokii Violet!

Dolly's outfit today is by Greymoon and I loved the textures featured in this. I've matched it up with the Vintage Boots by Pure Poison at this month's round of FaMESHed (been waiting for the perfect opportunity to try these out!) - classically elegant and nice for vintage steampunk looks, but also awesome for various autumn/fall outfits!

The monocle by Souzou Eien can be found in their gacha at ACS and every single item in this gacha is fab (well I think so anyway!)

The pipe is by Azoury and the pack contains 2 versions, the one I'm using but also a version with animated bubbles.
