Second Life 10th Annual Hair Fair - My Top Picks (Part 1)

The 2015 Second Life Hair Fair is here at last! It runs from July 11th to July 26th. This is one of those events that always gets everyone talking and rushing to the sims. You can find the map of the sims and all the store SLurls here.

There are 4 sims full of fabulous hair styles from some of the bet creators and stylists from around the grid - Blonde, Brunette, Redhead & Noirette - plus this year for the first few days there are a couple of 'off-sim' shopping locations too where you can cam shop or wait to get onto the sims, which you can find here & here :P

You can check out all the demo's before TPing too so there is no need to be fighting lag when you are there - just join the demo group inworld by copy and pasting this code into local chat:

All hairs in this post can be found at the SL Hair Fair and all donate a portion of the takings to the Wigs for Kids charity which is such an unbelievably good cause. The amount donated varies from creator to creator, with some even donating 100% of the takings (e.g. Blues Hair).

This is my first post for this years Hair Fair and trust me when I say there is plenty more to come (really, I have absoloutley no L$ left jingling in my pockets after yesterday's shopping! lol)

I'm just going to jump straight in and say this - I totally adore the new wings by MiaMai at We Love Role Play. These are some of the best wings I have come across in a long while. There is so much detail in them and they are crafted so well. Two metal colours are available to purchase and each has a couple of options for changing certain textures. The main texture can either be switched between the colour shown here and a steel blue colour. The gems also have a few options. And yes, I love them. lol

Moving on, MiaMai also brings the BattleFairy breast plate to the event to match the wings.

Also, Thrift Shop 7.0 is here and there is newness from Adoness. This funky hair includes hairbase (not shown), is long with plenty of volume up top and shaved one side. Just a few more days left of the District 5 event. That's where you can find this uber-cute dress by Adoness (in the Industrial Compound!) The texture pattern on the bodysuit is so detailed and the skirt is just adorable.
La Metallique Fair is still taking place and Zibska has several new offerings at the event (one of which was also featured in my last post!). The Igerne set is exclusive for the event and will only be available for the duration of it. Glam Rock - Last Day of Rhapsody & First Day of Hair Fair!!!

The glitter, the eccentric clothes, the big hair - who doesn't love Glam Rock?
Well today is the last day of Rhapsody and I got some Glam Rock Fever!
Sooo lovin' the 'Rock Vest' by Peqe, which is available in several colour options. This could be worn in so many ways, I can see it making it out of my inventory on a few occasions!
And of course some sparkles would be necessary to make any outfit glam - so these 'Fever Glitter' boots by Just Design were perfect. They come in an array of colours but that's not the best bit - each includes 3 styles. There is the tight thigh boot as shown below, but also a knee boot and shoe (for both JD MyFeet and mid SLink feet) included. So these really are great value for money!  Also, if glitter isn't your thing you can grab the suede versions instead!

This is the very first of a new (hopefully annual) event by the Cursed team - Futurewave. It's opening 12 noon Feb 15th and running until the 23rd.

If alternative, futuristic, cyberpunk, post-apoc styles etc are your thing, then this is an event you don't want to miss!

This gorgeous gown is by MetaTheodora and is available in 9 colours (I'm wearing the emerald) at 250L each or there is a fatpack for just 900L! Elegant cyberwear has arrived! I love the shape of these dresses and the glowing wires are a perfect touch.

Beautiful Freak has some new awesome futuristic nail appliers for SLink hands and feet. The ones I am wearing are part of the mainframe set, which includes 2 huds and 5 colours for 125L. There are 6 different colour packs available.

Amelie Barbour has an awesome selection of stuff available for the event, including a gift outfit called Hologram Angel. The wings i'm wearing today are part of that gift and are colour changeable via a hud!

As Stars We Belong

hello everyone!
I've come over all bewitched for the LOTD... and I'm seeing stars!
This beautiful new ensemble by Zibska is called Sora and consists of a beautifully detailed shimmering bodysuit (mesh in 5 sizes) and floating star skirt (resizeable).
I thought it went perfect with Pure Poison's star necklace from the December round of the Arcade and I found another excuse to wear these fabulous boots from Azoury!

Hello ladies! Just a quick post today!

It's almost time for the curtain close on this round of Genre but if you hurry you can pick up this beautiful victorian/gothic styled sleek gown by Adoness for just 100L! It comes complete with cuffs (worn), as well as 2 lace underlayer tops and a collar (not shown).

The collar I'm wearing is called Imogen by Zibska, which will be in main store mid February with colour changing texture for both the main part of the collar and the accents.
