Wanna Play Hnefatafl?

All this Viking stuff around from the latest round of The Secret Affair, you gotta be thinking it can't all be swords, axes, snow and war. But... what did Vikings do to amuse themselves on those cold winter nights?!
Apparently... they played Hnefatafl.

This Viking board game has been recreated by Roawenwood, along with some rather comfy fur rugs in an assortment of colours. The texturing on these is really nice, I was practically wanted to bury my toes into the fur!
The lamps I'm using are by Pure Poison and they can also be found at The Secret Affair, as well as my 'outfit' for today. That's by ieQED and is available in different metal colours. 

And once you're done at The Secret Affair, head on over to the new round of Shiny Shabby which opened yesterday. The skin applier I'm wearing is by Glam Affair and is in their gacha to play for at 100L per play. As I may have mentioned once or twice before... I do love the Exotic skin tone! There are 15 appliers to play for in a range of tones (including two different Exotic appliers!). You can catch me wearing one of the rares and see the full gacha key in my previous post.
The beautiful ink I'm wearing today is new by White Widow and can also be found at Shiny Shabby. It's based on the patterns and designs of it's namesake - dreamcatchers - and is quite unique looking! There is also a gorgeous dreamcatcher design going down the back too which sadly can't be seen in this pic. Just take my word for it, it really is quite lovely!
The tattoo includes a whole bunch of appliers including Maitreya, Belleza, Omega, SLink & TMP, as well as standard tattoo layers. Each applier include 3 different tone/shade levels.

The Red Woman - The Conquest, A Game of Thrones Event

I love Game of Thrones. I watch very little TV but I adore this show and I'm definitely going to be getting some withdrawal symptoms now the season is over!

So, when I found out about The Conquest I was extremely excited to see what some of our most beloved Second Life creators came up with in the Game of Thrones theme. If you love GoT, this is definitely not an event you'll want to miss!

Today, I decided to base my look and pic on Melisandre - The Red Woman - after she had been whispering news of visions and strategies into the ear of Stannis.

This gorgeous superlow v-neck gown is by Peqe. It comes in several different colours and has static/posed arms. The detail of the mesh shape and texture is lovely, creating really nice shadow effects in the ruffles of fabric.

Wasabi Pills has brought 2 variations of the new 'Keira' hairstyle to the event, really helping to recreate looks of fave GoT characters or is just a pretty style for any occasion too!

There is also lots of fabulous roleplay decor and furniture at the event. Getting ready for battle? Plan your strategy and keep track of the other houses' armies on this table by 7mad;Ravens! The set also includes 2 variations of king's chairs and advisor's chairs, all of which include poses.

Cheeky Pea has created some iron throne style fan art as decor - It's resizeable too!

Also, love these sapling trees by {Roawenwood}, which are sure to stand out in any outdoor space with their silver bark and pretty red leaves. There are 3 different cluster versions - one dual branch cluster and two triple branch versions.

The Conquest opens at Midnight tonight (SLT) so hurry on down to satisfy your Game of Thrones cravings, your roleplay needs and shopping addiction ;)

This must have been one of my favourite rounds of The Secret Affair and even as the event draws to a close at the end of this month, I'm still very much in post-apoc mode.  Especially as there seems to be so many awesome things still to show!!

Today's look was created using quite a mix of items. This faux dread hairstyle from Tableau Vivant uses their frizzy textures and is perfect for the slightly more 'rough and ready' chic look. In addition to new hair, which we all cannot resist, Tableau Vivant also brought some new clothing items to the event. This fringe collar is rigger mesh and supersexy as a top on its own, or could be worn as an accessory to finish off a look. 
I'm loving the harness and paudrons by [The Forge]. The texturing on these tyre pauldrons is really awesome and give a completely different finish to a look than similar products.
And I know I seem to be saying this about everything, but one of my fave accessories from this event that I totally love is the rare eye patch and belt set from Luas 'Mad World' gacha.

And to move on from The Secret Affair, do be sure to stop by the current round of Level Up to grab this awesome saw axe by CerberusXing. There are 2 versions included in the pack, a belt version and one without the belt. The latter attaches automatically to your back so if you are wearing your own belt, seems to be hooked on to that or it can be attached elsewhere if needed! Again the detail is fab in this. 

The Wastelands seemed to be the perfect place to get all destructo to take this pic!!

I'm taking a little break from Sci-Fi and futuristic stuffs after a little trip to this round of Genre - and if you didn't guess yet, the theme is fae!

AZE has the cutest necklace available at the event called 'Forest Treasures' and its the perfect accessory for any fairy or elven look.
I also picked up these pretty flower chairs/props by Roawenwood. They come in 4 colour options and both scripted and unscripted versions are included. The scripted version has 19 animated sits included, both male and female!

The Fantasy Collective opened for a new round today and I can't begin to tell you how much I love the new Tableau Vivant hair. And.. believe it or not... Dolly here is wearing it in pink! This hair looks amazing in every colour, you'll have a hard time deciding! And I'm thinking of it as part of playing around with colours more...

Speaking of things that look pretty in all colours, the headpiece Dolly is wearing is by LODE and can be picked up in their gacha at L'Accessoires which is still running. Seriously, there is no bad colour in this gacha, it doesnt matter whether it's common or rare - all so pretty!

And if that isn't enough events for you, the Final Fantasy thingy is still going on too and you can grab these lovely steampunk wings by Tentacio while you are there. There are 5 different versions and these are the 'Map' ones.
