The Nightmare Event is running through until 31st October and Zibska is embracing Xylophobia (fear of forests ~ in this case, creepy things found lurking about in the woods) with fabulous new accessories and makeup!

A Bug's Adventure - A Fantasy Faire Story

The 2017 Fantasy Faire is here!

This wonderful event brings 15 beautifully crafted sims full of fantasy and roleplay styled creations, many of which generously donate to Relay for Life and benefit the American Cancer Society. Read more about the Faire and it's cause here.

Now, in traditional Faire spirit, it's time for a story...

Once upon a time, in a land called The Hill, Bumblebee and Ladybug sat amongst the flowers. 

Bumblebee decided it was too nice a day to sit still, she wanted to explore. She'd heard music in the distance and wanted to find out what the world offered outside of her meadow hills. So, with a wave and farewell to Ladybug, off she flew from the land she knew.

The flight took Bumblebee to peaceful town, full of colourful trees and blossom on the breeze. Dawn's Promise was it's name, with it's grand buildings fallen somewhat into disrepair but with new life emerging everywhere from the glistening water springs.

On and on the Bumblebee flew towards the fine buildings and glorious gardens in the distance. To The Rose.

Up and up Bumblebee flew, past splendid balconies and illustrious buildings to the garden above. There she met and rested by a Lion, whom carried an important message.

"...It is the courage to continue that counts", Bumblebee read.

She had not succeeded in finding the music yet, but she would be courageous and carry on her journey.

So away Bumblebee flew, back onto the current of the breeze to see where it would take her next.

The skies grew dark as the landscape changed, shadows gathering around Bumblebee. Was that a note of a song she heard?

"This is Morbus", the shadows whispered, as Bumblebee took in the dark landscape of thorns and chaos.

"Answers come to those who seek them out, those who wish to take on The Quest", the shadows continued. 

But Bumblebee was already on her own quest, and again she took flight and found a place unlike any she had seen before. 

San Mora

Amongst the rubble and ruin, the chaos and burned-out fires, Bumblebee watched the few who remained in the city. She followed them through the alleyways of this concrete jungle, reading many of the messages that had been left behind. 

San Mora was the name of the place, Bumblebee discovered. A pharmaceutical capitol quarantined at the outbreak of a deadly contagion of its own making, the population was left to survive the best they could. 

This could not be the source of the beautiful music Bumblebee had heard. 

She had to escape this forlorn looking place and fast...

 Bumblebee took a deep breath and smelled flowers and blossom on the breeze once again.

The music grew louder as Bumblebee approached the sanctuary of Kakushi Pasu. 

All around her lanterns danced, water flowed and Faire-goers celebrated. 

Bumblebee had found the home of Faireland parties and the Literary Festival.

Bumble watched on as people danced and performed, but soon grew wary as she realised she had been out all day and dusk was fast approaching.

Bumble flew up to the highest lookout point, dancing around the glitter and blossoms. 

And there in the distance she spotted her home.

With a smile on her face, she flew to The Hill.

The SCALA Freakshow Carnivale opened today and Zibska has a bunch of themed and eccentric new releases for you! The 'Galliard' corset/dress set includes colour HUD with 8 colours for the corset and the spheres. The corset comes in 5 standard sizes and black bottoms are also included in 6 fitted mesh sizes. Upper and lower spheres dress parts are resizeable and there is also a headpiece included (not shown below). Also, there is a guys version of this outfit too! The event runs until 13th Nov.

Zibska is also currently taking part in Shiny Shabby, where you'll find this pretty necklace. Again, a colour HUD is included which allows for change of 3 sections independently from another.  

This incredibly creepy but fantastically stylish and seasonal headpiece is by Astralia and can be found at the current round of The Liaison Collaborative. It includes a colour HUD to allow change of the web between black, silver and gold, as well as offering 3 different gem colour options. It's completely re-sizeable via a script.

The Gacha Garden will open again on 1st August and Astralia has created the most stunning... and I really mean stunning... angelic collection.
The rare wings are fabulous and quite unlike the shape most others you'll find in SL. A colour HUD is included to switch the metal between gold and silver, as well as given options on the feather colour between pink, black, white and red. 
There are 2 more rares - the heels and the headpiece - which include similar colour HUDs. The common items consist of the head jewel, bracelets, belts and nipple covers (not shown) in the 4 colours above. 
For every 25 plays of a machine at this event, you'll get a special prize called the Seed of Inspiration. Astralia are offering a matching sceptre for the set.

In my last post I promised more info on the brand spanking new poses by Roquai and their awesome collaboration with *NAMINOKE* available at the 2016 Fantasy Faire. 

I planned to do this post at the weekend but... well... I have new kitten in RL who is proving to be very demanding on attention and I can't resist her so finally here it is lol.

Roquai's Pamakhala Girl (300L$) and Pamakhala Boy (250L$) pose sets can be purchased in separate packs. The 'girl' pack contains 6 poses and the 'boy' pack contains 5 poses. What's really cool about all these poses is they are designed to work great individually or they fit together as couple poses easily! You can snag the fatpack with all the couple poseballs for 500L$. These poses are all very artistic and the sets contain a mix of kneels and stands, which are full of emotion and motion. 

The sakura petal 'dresses' by *NAMINOKE* come in both girl and boy versions in a variety of petal colours. They consist of several different petal attachments and these absolutely beautiful wings. 

A single outfit is 480L$ and an outfit with HUD is 600L$.

The Second Life Fantasy Faire 2016 is open!!! This is the big event for all types of fantasy folk, from elves, fairies and mermaids, to medieval courtiers, princesses and warriors alike. The best part? There are an absolute ton of vendors that donate to Relay For Life, with some RFL vendors providing 100% donation to this extremely good cause. Full credit to the sim builders this year for the amazing job. I've included some pictures of my favourites further down in this post, taken prior to the Faire opening. I fully recommend going back after the initial shopping days to experience the sims when they are less crowded and enjoy them in their full splendor!

The tentacle "outfit" I'm wearing in this picture is by Storybook, new for Fantasy Faire. I was so excited when I first saw the WIP pic for this stunning new creation and after trying it out I'm in love! It really is so cool. I've also used it for props in my pic!

There are a bunch of different colours available, in addition to a Fantasy Faire exclusive edition to benefit RFL. It's made to fit Maitreya Lara, SLink Physique and Hourglass, and Belleza Venus and Isis. The outfit consists of a main body part, plus separate add on pieces for each leg.
You'll find Storybook on the Dangarnon sim.

The fabulous fantasy skin is a new line by The Plastik, available at the Fantasy Faire. It's called 'Constella' and there are multiple skin tones and hues to choose from. Each has lots of appliers included in the pack, including Maitreya and Genesis as shown, but also Lelutka, Omega (head and body), Belleza, SLink and others.

The pose is by Roquai and is part of a fabulous new set available at the Fantasy Faire in collaboration with NAMINOKE. I've always been a huge fan of the doll avatars by *COCO* so I couldn't wait to check out their newest release. I love love LOVE it!! Finally a fitted mesh doll body! 

I've tried it with several fitted mesh dresses that are designed for Maitreya Lara and had no issues with the fit, no poking out through arms or back etc. It's awesome. I did try a few tops and shorts and these are a little more tricky, so bare in mind not everything will work but this doll body certainly allows for more flexibility when it comes to dressing in 'normal' clothes. As for the fashion doll range by *COCO*, designed for the standard *COCO* fashion doll body, not all will work with this one but the ones that will are indicated on the vendors.

*COCO* has also released 2 new doll heads. I fell in love with Nora instantly. I think she has a slightly alien look to her features, which personally I find cute. The great thing about these new heads (for me anyway) is that they have a closed eye feature again, which the other heads in the fashion doll range have been missing. Even better, there are eyelashes included for both open and closed eye versions. Eyes are separate attachment from the head and 2 colours are included in the pack.

The body (900L$) is modifiable and the new heads are available in both mod (900L$) and no mod (450L$) versions. Texture maps are included with MyDollKit mod body & heads.

One of the first dresses I tried on the body was the new 'Spring Dreamy' dress by =Zenith=, available at The Project Se7en. There are 4 packs available, each including 2 versions of the dress changeable by HUD. The cute bunny toy is also by =Zenith= at the same event and includes colour HUD to match to any of the dreamy dresses.
